The Revelstoke Community Aquatic & Fitness Centre offers a variety of great fitness classes for children, adults & seniors.

Children's Fitness Classes 

Preschool Yoga     -     October 1 - November 7, 2019

Children will explore body awareness through play and will develop skills to better identify and cope with basic emotions. No online registration available for these class. 1 or 2 day class options.

Kids Yoga     -     October 1 - November 7, 2019

Kids will practice identifying and understanding emotions and will explore tools to aid in self-regulation. We will discover breath and mindfulness practices in fun and playful ways and learn how to bring them into practice at home and school.

Tween Yoga     -     October 1 - November 7, 2019

Participants will explore how to identify and cope with stress using mindfulness practices and self compassion. We will work on building a happy and healthy body image through physical postures and stretching; exploring how the body works.

Ages: 3-5 years

Adult Fitness Classes

Low-Impact Aquafit   -     October 1 - May 23, 2019

Suited for those who prefer a low impact workout in both shallow and deep water. Enjoy the challenges and rewards of water workouts in the Lap and Leisure Pool.

Deep Water Aquafit   -     October 2 - May 27, 2019

This is a high intensity, high energy class. Perfect for your regular exercises and those looking for a challenge. Adding  a water workout to your fitness routine is a great resistance but low impact full body workout.  

When: Mondays & Wednesdays 9am-10am (No class Dec. 25)

Tabata    -     October 3 - February 20, 2019

This workout is a form of high intensity interval training designed to get your heart rate up in that very hard anaerobic zone for short periods of time. By doing this, you train all of your energy systems, something that regular cardio workouts usually won't do. Not only does that make you more fit, it helps you burn more calories both during and after work outs so well is because of the work to rest ratio. You only get 10 seconds of rest between each 20 seconds of exercise. That very short interval isn't enough to allow you to fully recover, which is one reason it's great for building endurance and getting in shape.

Beginner or avid fitness enthusiasts will find they are FIT for this workout. Packed with fun and energizing activity that may include circuit training , strength and conditioning, core and stability, obstacle course agility challenge, power sports drills, martial arts and more.

Seniors Fitness Classes

Active Living   

Are you starting to feel some of life’s aging and injury disabilities, but are still moderately functional?

Are you worried about loss of strength, fatiguing easily, having aches and pains that are more prominent, and losing connection to your daily living activities? Then this is the class for you! This healthy lifestyles program, designed by local Exercise Therapist Neil Jones and Personal Trainer Jaana Jones, will have management solutions to keep you mobile.

When: Monday & Wednesday 11:15am  – 12:15pm

Senior Fit  -  6 week sessions

Packed with fun and laughter, this class will bring you back in time. Lite aerobics to the tunes of the 70’s. Participants will get a full body work out designed to improve cardio endurance that will leave you feeling energized.

All level of fitness welcome. Our certified instructor will modify all moves to accommodate each person’s level of comfort. This class will never be dull with a mixture of different exercises to make sure you are getting full body strengthening and exercise. This class incorporates light aerobics, balance and fall prevention, elastic resistance training, golden barre, Pilates and Tai Chi
