What is this program about?
Resident Directed (ReDi) Grants are intended to support local projects that provide additional value to Revelstoke and CSRD Area B communities. Projects should benefit the broad community and public good and are evaluated on key community based environmental and social goals, general project criteria and resident input.
Who can apply?
Eligible applicants include registered non-profit organizations, first nations, registered schools and local government.
Is there a resident engagement process?
Yes! Applicants will be required to make a short presentation to committee members and interested community members on the merits of their application. The resident engagement process is an important component of project evaluation. Details regarding the date, time and location of the public meeting will be announced once confirmed.
How is the program managed?
The City of Revelstoke wholly administers this program for area residents on behalf of Columbia Basin Trust (the Trust) and the Columbia Shuswap Regional District (CSRD). A committee of community members evaluate project applications and recommend funding levels for approval by Revelstoke City Council and the CSRD Area B Director. City of Revelstoke staff manage the annual process of advertising the grant, receiving applications, supporting committee members, disbursing funds, reviewing final reports and reporting out to the public and the Trust.
